Cadot Restaurant - Restaurant Review
“New American Cuisine with a French influence” is what Cadot chefs Jean-Marie Cadot and Gaspar Stantic promise to the customers of the quaint restaurant. With unique dishes like Butterflied Trout with a pistachio and mushroom white wine sauce, that’s exactly what they deliver. Owner Jean-Marie Cadot has a family restaurant history dating back to 1758 and he himself has been learning to cook since the age of eight, experience that shows through in their time-honored menu. The food is highlighted by the layout of the restaurant that includes four spacious, adjoining rooms with a table arrangement that encourages intimate conversation. The food, restaurant arrangement, and atmosphere combine to provide a dining experience hard to find outside of France.

The Ranch
Address: 857 W. John Carpenter Fwy., Irving, TX 75039 (Map)
Guests of The Ranch are encouraged to soak up the abundant Texas culture, dive into tempting menu items and relax in the midst of live Texas music. This dining destination takes pride in its location, so much that there is a giant iconic fork stuck in the ground at the entrance; a reenactment of the last boards of the porch being laid into place, and a worker exclaiming “It’s done, stick a fork in it!" The menu is stocked with seafood from the Gulf Coast, beef from the Southern Plains, and produce from local farms. Local bands for live music complete the list of all things Texas at The Ranch!

Nonna
Address: 4115 Lomo Alto Ct., Dallas, TX 75219 (Map)
Thoughtfully chic yet casual, Nonna was created as a gathering point for Highland Park dwellers to savor authentic, regional Italian fare. Local farms and ranches source much of the ingredients found on the menu, and a wood-burning stove not only warms the space, but cooks the restaurant’s famous pizzas. Speaking of pizza, the White Pizza of Little Neck Clams has garnered quite the reputation for being satisfyingly rogue. Other tasty treats include the selection of house-cured salumi, the Ravioli of Maine Lobster, and the Veal Saltimbocca alla Romana. Who are we kidding, every dish on this menu has found a fan.
