Go Fish Ocean Club - Restaurant Review
Inspired by all that the sea has to offer in terms of flavor and health, Go Fish Ocean Club submerges guests in a water world of sorts, where the stunning ocean-inspired décor and fresh-off-the-boat cuisine seduce the senses. Chef Tiffany Derry is committed to ensuring her guests enjoy the highest quality seafood from around the globe – a treat few North Texas eateries can serve. The Go Fish Sashimi Sampler boasts a dazzling assortment of sashimi tuna, salmon, Tuna Tataki, and Kampachi; the Grilled Hawaiian Swordfish transports guests to an island oasis. And the entire experience is topped by the custom coral light fixture seemingly floating overhead.

Charlie Palmer at the Joule
Address: 1530 Main St., Dallas, TX 75201 (Map)
With renowned chef Charlie Palmer’s latest installment—and his first in Texas—he brings American-French fusion cuisine to Dallas. The “breezy” themed restaurant is decorated in honor of Texas being the nation’s top producer of wind energy. The ambiance of earthy color tones and spinning turbines in the lights might just blow you away. The food might too, if you’re interested in dishes like Plancha Seared Mahi Mahi, or Surf and Swine, featuring caramelized scallops and crisp pork belly. Take home some of the fun at the connected wine shop, Next Vintage, which has selections of wine hand-picked by Palmer and his Sommelier Drew Hendricks.

Lavendou
Address: 19009 Preston Rd., Dallas, TX 75252 (Map)
Bask in Lavendou’s warm and welcoming French countryside décor, and let yourself slip into the mindset of someone truly enjoying the moment. Rustic archways of exposed brick and lively tablecloth fabrics of blues and yellows help cement the feeling of being on holiday, and the southern French cuisine menu convinces the palate it is in another time zone. The Foie Gras En Terrine au Sauternes is a decadent expression of flavor, while the Grilled Tilapia Provencal speaks of seemingly effortless freshness. “High Tea” is also a daily event, and is another fine touch of French hospitality.
